Shocking. Absolutely shocking.
The jury in the George Zimmerman case has rendered a NOT GUILTY verdict of second-degree murder in the sad fatal shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.
The 6-women jury deliberated for 16 hours and 20 minutes over a span of two days before they finally reached their verdict just a few moments ago.
They had been given the chance to convict Zimmerman of manslaughter, but decided not to despite their earlier request for a clarification of the charge earlier in the evening.
Zimmerman had pleaded not guilty, claiming he shot the unarmed teen in self defense.
