After months and months of failed interventions, Amanda Bynes‘ parents have FINALLY filed papers to be reviewed in court on Friday to be granted a conservatorship ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ meaning they will have legal authority over certain parts of their reportedly mentally ill daughter’s life.
It is VERY rare for conservatorships to be imposed in California, but after the well-documented string of such bizarre episodes, the 5150 psychiatric hold, and mental health experts observing her “schizophrenic tendencies,” Amanda’s parents might just have enough ammunition to get it past a judge.
Between Sunday’s most recent Thousand Oaks driveway fire, volatile tweets, and pot smoking, it is crystal clear that Amanda is having trouble maintaining a healthy lifestyle on her own.
We’ve been worried about her for quite some time now and we’re VERY happy and relieved that she could finally get the treatment necessary to get the old, sweet Amanda back.
