Julie Bowen‘s leather and lace oxblood-colored Catherine Deane dress sent a variety of mixed signals last night at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ cocktail reception celebrating the 65th Emmy Awards in Universal City.

The Modern Family mother still managed to pull the look off, much thanks to the sassy swirly shoes and simple black clutch she paired with the stand-out outfit.

Julie’s beachy waves and perfectly applied makeup were also great additions to the overall look.
