We’re so glad Amanda Bynes is getting the help she needs. And it sounds like it couldn’t have come soon enough!
Amanda was recently moved to UCLA’s psychiatric unit, where doctors are doing everything they can to regulate her schizophrenia symptoms.
But it isn’t easy. An inside source says Amanda has a long way yet to go. The source says:
“There has been some improvement├óΓé¼┬ªhowever, her diagnosis is complex, and the appropriate drug cocktail to treat her hasn├óΓé¼Γäót been achieved yet.”
So what can they do? It looks like Amanda might be in for a much longer stay in the hospital, one that might require more legal proceedings for her parents. The source says:
“Her treatment team believes Amanda would benefit from prolonged treatment at UCLA, for at least the rest of the year. She has her good days and bad days, and the goal is obviously to get her therapeutic and stable before being released. Lynn needs to be granted permanent conservatorship because Amanda wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót agree to continue with treatment.”
On the bright side, once doctors can get the treatment just right, Amanda could walk away perfectly healthy! The source says:
“Given time and the correct treatment and medicine, Amanda could and should absolutely be able to live with it and be a productive member of society. In fact, she wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót likely suffer from symptoms of it if she stays on her medication.”
