Why would any photographer NOT want to shoot the always exciting Miley Cyrus???
We can’t think of a single good reason!
But that’s exactly what happened when Miley was cast in Marc Jacobs‘ S/S 2014 ads and longtime Jacobs collaborator and friend, Juergen Teller, refused to shoot the pop star!
Instead, the photography honor for the campaign went to David Sims.
Marc explained:
“I have worked with Juergen for years and love him as an artist. He just didn’t want to shoot her.”
So much juicy subtext in this quote!
Teller has exclusively shot Jacobs’ fashion ad campaigns for over a decade, so it is definitely remarkable that he decided to sit this one out!
Maybe he just isn’t a fan of twerking! Ha!
But rest assured that Marc still loves Miley to death! He said:
“We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything. There’s nothing I don’t like about her. She is just genuine and very natural.”
