Forgive us for feeling like we’re having deja vu!
A petition has now been posted to Change.org seeking to launch an open investigation into the judge’s decision of Women’s Figure Skating at the Sochi Olympics.
Yuna Kim from Korea had a flawless performance, suffering only a slightly unstable landing, but she didn’t take the gold medal. The Russian skater Adelina Sotnikova did instead, despite her much larger stumble.
So, now there is a petition on Change.org asking for an investigation of the judges, since it seems mighty suspicious that the hometown girl won. The petition goes into detail, explaining:
├óΓé¼┼ôEven the night before in the short programme, an evaluation sheet from the judges were made public which showed 0 in one of Yuna’s jumps – in the short program where she made no mistakes at all which already shocked the Korean people. As well as the fact that they put 4 Russian people as judges out of the 14, makes all the sense. But the score in the free program has added on to the unfairness of what’s supposed to be the fairest of all competitions – the Olympics. The corruption needs to be made visible and needs to be corrected.├óΓé¼┬¥
We hate to think that there is cheating at the Olympics, but sometimes it’s hard to think anything else with the cards stacked like this.
The petitioners also made sure to stress that this is purely about the judges, not the skaters, adding:
“This is NOT for Yuna Kim, this is for the FAIR SPORTSMANSHIP THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE CENTRAL TO THE WORLD EVENT OF THE OLYMPICS.”
What do U think of the whole situation???
P.S. If you want to sign the petition, you can HERE.
