Avert your eyes, Anna Wintour!!!
As we mentioned before, Chelsea Handler landed a cover and spread on Paper magazine’s spring issue. And while the photo shoot turned out fine, it’s her gut-wrenching interview that has everyone talking!!
The comedian got SUPER real about her thoughts on fashion, as well as her thoughts on fashion├óΓé¼Γäós current queen — Vogue├óΓé¼Γäós Anna Wintour.
Turns out she doesn’t think very highly of the industry OR Anna!
Chelsea’s feelings for fashion are as follows:
“I’m interested in looking good for me, but I’m not interested in going to a fashion show. It’s not real. I went once last year with a boyfriend. I was like, ‘This is the worst nightmare I could have ever been to.’ I was embarrassed to be there.”
While that statement alone could be enough to completely offend Miz Wintour (who probably spends more time attending fashion shows than anyone ever) Chels didn’t stop there.
She went as far as bashing the biggest fashion event of the year — the annual Met Gala, organized by Anna herself.
Handler talked about her 2012 experience at the event, saying:
“I was like, ‘Why am I here?’ I didn’t have fun. I have no idea what the theme was, nor did I care. I know that I wore motorcycle boots under my Roland Mouret gown. I think it was a Roland Mouret and Anna Wintour was like, ‘She cannot wear motorcycle boots.’ I’m like, ‘Well then I’ll wear them so I can guarantee never getting invited again.'”
Welp.
If she wasn’t already booted off the Met Gala invite list, she will be soon!!
So both she and Anna will get what they want.
All’s well that ends well, right???
