Charlize Theron Compares Press Attention To Being Raped! (Your Move, Gwyneth Paltrow!)

charlize theron rape comments controversy celebrity fame press intrusion personal life
Oh no! Just after Gwyneth Paltrow got into hot water for comparing her Internet trolling experiences to the horrors of war, another Oscar-winning A-lister has one-upped her in the bad analogy game.
Charlize Theron, usually known for keeping her perspective in check with a lot of charity work, was doing a UK television interview when she actually compared the pitfalls of fame to actual rape!
The interviewer asked if she is offended by how personal the stories are that come up when she Googles herself. She said:

“I don’t do that, so that├óΓé¼Γäós my saving grace. When you start living in that world, and doing that, you start I guess feeling… raped.”

Oh no, gurl! People adoring you so much they want to talk about your family and your hot new boyfriend can NOT be compared to real victimization.
The world didn’t like it coming from Kristen Stewart three years ago; what makes you think the Evil Queen can say stuff Snow White can’t??
Simply put, this kind of analogy trivializes actual rape. We’re sure Charlize feels like her personal space is being violated, but it is NOT the same thing.
You should really know to choose your words better, gurl.
Ch-ch-check out the video (below) to see Charlize try to explain her comments to the surprised interviewer.
