That’s because it was just announced that the fast food titan is testing sweet potato fries as a side in select restaurants!

The french fry alternative will be available in 29 locations along the Texas Panhandle starting this week, where a new system will also allow customers to customize their burgers with 39 different ingredients!
This change comes as part of McDonald’s new Create Your Taste dining experience — a fast-casual option popular in competing restaurants like Chipotle!
