Don’t be sly, Sly.
Sylvester Stallone may be one of the most iconic actors in film history, but you may be surprised to learn that Sunday marked the very first Golden Globes win of his career!
In fact, the Creed star was so surprised that he finally won for his portrayal of Rocky that he pretty much forgot to thank anyone involved in the spin-off/sequel.

People actually in attendance were quick to point out that the 69-year-old actor actually returned to the stage to thank Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, and director Ryan Coogler during a commercial break, but he took to Twitter Monday night just to clear up any lingering concerns, saying:
Samuel Jackson is upset that I foolishly forgot to mention the brilliant Ryan Coogler and MB Jordan he is right I owe them everything

Smart thinking!
Luckily, it seems like the tweet did fix the Rocky actor’s sticky situation, especially with Samuel L. Jackson, who responded:
I loved the performance @TheSlyStallone, You killed It! I know you love those guys!

Phew!
Just don’t do it again if you happen to win the Oscar, Sly!
