Bill Cosby‘s defense has decided to drop the defamation lawsuit against Beverly Johnson — for the time being, anyway.
In case you need a refresher, Johnson opened up in a Vanity Fair piece about how Bill allegedly spiked her cappuccino during an audition at his home for The Cosby Show. As a result, the scandalized star filed a lawsuit saying the former model is making false accusations in an attempt to become relevant again.

Ouch.
Now, Cosby’s lawyers have reportedly asked for a dismissal of the defamation case while their camp focuses full attention on his ongoing criminal case regarding another accuser Andrea Constand.
The attorney says Johnson’s case will be refiled after the criminal case is over and before the statute of limitations expires.
