As the situation surrounding neo-Nazi and white supremacist marches in Charlottesville, Virginia is rapidly deteriorating, Trump must have finally the found time to release a statement about the horrific and increasingly violent events taking place there.

Oh, wait, now it makes sense — about 37% of the country supports Donald Trump, an absurdly low approval rate for a President in the first year of his first term.
If he comes out and condemns actual white supremacy, he loses the only part of his base that remains: white nationalists and other right-wing nut jobs who hate minorities and regularly vote against their own self-interests.
