UPDATE 8:41 A.M. EST: Nikolas Cruz has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. He is expected in court later today.
What a sad day.
As you surely heard, on Wednesday, it was reported that 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz caused multiple fatalities by shooting up Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. It’s said the alleged gunman was a former student of the school, who was expelled due to disciplinary reasons.

And it appears that Cruz tried to get away with his horrible crime, as he attempted to flee the scene by hiding among the students exiting the school. Per the authorities, Nikolas “concealed himself in the crowd and was among those running out of the school.”
Law enforcers identified the troubled man thanks to security footage. Cruz was booked in a nearby neighborhood of Coral Springs, Florida — but was transported to Broward Health North hospital as he was having difficulty breathing. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel noted in a statement:
“I don’t think his injuries were anything significant.”
Nikolas has since been released into police custody. The cops have begun to “dissect” social media sites connected to the suspected shooter and they’ve discovered things that are “very disturbing.” President Donald Trump has also painted the gunman as “mentally distubed” as he added on Twitter:
So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!
