It’s apparently not every band’s dream to play an impromptu performance with a pop star, believe it or not.
At least that was the case for a certain New Orleans bar band who flat out DENIED Christina Aguilera the microphone when she went up in hopes of singing a song with them last week.

The Ain’t No Other Man singer told the hilarious story at the start of her Friday night concert at the Saenger Theater. Explaining to the crowd that she and her dancers went to “this little bar” the previous night where a band was playing, Xtina recalled going up to the stage in hopes of jamming with them — only to be completely rejected!
Knowing how precious the microphone is to a performer, she didn’t take it personally. But we have to wonder: did the singer of the band not know she was *the* Christina Aguilera? Or did he just not care?

Xtina didn’t name the bar she was at — but luckily, some vigilant witness saw the mic denial going down and recorded it on their phone.
