Akon Is A Quitter!

That was quick!

After only one broadcast, Akon has quit his gig at a London radio station.

The R&B star was supposed to host a two-hour show every Saturday night for Capital FM. He went on air and debuted on February 13th, but the following week, the previous host of the slot took over.

And now the guy has his job back as the station confirmed that due to all of Akon’s “commitments”, he would no longer be a DJ. A spokesperson for the the station explains:

“Due to Akon’s commitments, including working on a brand new album, we won’t be broadcasting a regular show on 95.8 Capital FM for the time being. Our conversations about future shows are ongoing as we explore other opportunities that may work for both of us.”

Dude isn’t Ryan Seacrest. Can’t handle more than one job at a time. Get back to him when someone newer and fresher comes out to sing backup tracks for Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani.
