Now this is just silly!
Alyssa Milano is upset that the iPhone Twitter app, Tweetie 2, is going to cost a whopping $2.99, tweeting “Boooooo!!!” at the announcement.
The iPhone developers found this to be quite humorous, but also insulting considering the work they put into the new upgrades for the app AND that it’s only 3 freakin’ dollars!
Blogger John Gruber brought up good points saying that “if you don’t think it’s worth $3, don’t buy it” and “keep in mind, we’re talking about $3 for an app that only runs on handheld devices that cost at least $200, most of which come with a $70/month service.”
Alyssa felt the backlash though and took to her Twitter to address those giving her a hard time with the following Tweets:
“After booing tweetie upgrade price~ tweetie mob came after me & were so rude it turned me off to the app all together.”
“Just downloaded tweetdeck iPhone app (free). Will test it out, if I don’t like it, I will pay 4 the tweetie upgrade.”
“Now on echofon (also free.) This is the Twitter app tour 2009.”
Seriously, Alyssa?
We know you’re C-List, but we’re pretty sure 3 dollars ain’t gonna break your bank!
