Amanda Bynes was just walking through the Big Apple on Wednesday and instead of going incognito, she used a live puppy as her shield from the paparazzi.

We know she hates any picture that’s not from her Twitter, but a puppy?! REALLY?!

We’re sure PETA will be sending her a strongly worded letter any minute now.

Then again, maybe Amanda is just showing us how cute the pup is! Ha!
