This situation is getting very troublesome.
We heard yesterday from Amanda Bynes‘ lawyer, Tamar Arminak, that the actress was never suffering from schizophrenia despite the rumors that had come out during the hospitalization.
However, it was hard to believe some sort of mental health issue wasn’t going on considering the insanity that went on during those months before she got help.
Now, we’re hearing she has in fact been suffering from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, not just weed issues as her mom recently tried to claim.
In case you aren’t convinced Amanda has serious problems, there has been numerous proof throughout her treatment. For starters, she was put on LPS Hold last year, which can only be done if someone is “gravely disabled as the result of a mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism.”
She managed to have criminal cases delayed in both New York and California based on claims of her unstable mental health. She also spent time at the UCLA psych ward where she reportedly had problems after other patients started to freak her out.
Not to mention, it’s been reported many times that she was given a medication cocktail to specifically treat her for schizophrenia. And on top of all that, her mother shouldn’t be in denial because she was the one who actually gained temporary conservatorship over Amanda after it was determined she was mentally ill.
Unfortunately, it sounds like her mom, Lynn Bynes, might be in ignoring all these facts as she’s now revealed:

“She has no mental illness whatsoever.”

And on top of all that, she’s apparently taken Amanda off all medications, which could be incredibly dangerous if that has been what’s stabilizing her.
We sure hope Amanda continues to receive any treatment she might need to keep her on this healthy path.
