It’s been one hell of an eventful evening/morning for former charming actress Amanda Bynes — a drug related arrest, overnight stay in a holding cell, courthouse hearing — but now the question is…
What would be the best possible option for the retired star so that something like this doesn’t happen again? She seems to like her drugs, but is Amanda’s substance abuse just an indicator of more serious mental health issues?
Well, that’s apparently what her parents believe! Rather than have her sent off to a rehab facility, Amanda’s mom and pops Lynn and Rick reportedly believe their daughter should be in a psychiatric hospital… like NOW.
One alleged insider reveals:
“Amanda has been clearly using drugs, yes, including marijuana, but that is just the symptom. The fact is Amanda suffers from severe mental health issues that she refuses to accept. Rick and Lynn want her to seek in-patient treatment at a psychiatric hospital so she can be properly treated.
She thought there were tracking devices in smoke detectors in her family home and would place sheets over them. Amanda also hears voices. It├óΓé¼Γäós so sad for her family to watch her unravel like this.”
We’ve also heard that Amanda’s concerned parents sought to hold a conservatorship over their daughter even BEFORE the whole bong vase throwing event occurred.
We sincerely hope Amanda gets the help she needs!
If she continues with this destructive behavior, something far more serious than getting caught smoking a joint is bound to happen.
