Most recently, Amanda Seyfried — who played Paxton’s daughter in the HBO series Big Love — spoke out about her grief over the celebrated industry vet’s sudden death. In a new statement, the A-lister shared:

“He was an amazing and supportive father-figure to me in my early career. Incredibly inspired and full of life at every turn, he made you feel like everything was possible. This is a terrible loss.”

We can’t even begin to imagine the sadness the 31-year-old is dealing with right now. Of course, Miz Seyfried isn’t the only celebrity to comment on Bill’s passing as many paid tribute to the late actor on Twitter and Instagram. Ginnifer Goodwin, who also acted alongside the Aliens star in Big Love, made sure to remember him while on the Oscars red carpet.
Not to mention, Bill’s longtime friend Bud Cort released his own statement on the sad situation as he wrote:

“All of the laughs and joyful times and deep conversations we’ve shared for so many years are safe in my heart forever. You really did it and with such style, class and soul and intelligence and, of course, your incomparable humor.
It was an honor to be your friend and a privilege to act with you, to make music with you and├óΓé¼┬ª most of all, just to hang with you. I love you, Bill. All my prayers and deepest sympathy to Louise, James, and Lydia and to your mom and brother and your great dad John, who I know for sure you are with now. God bless you brother.”

Okay, we’re really tearing up right now. In case you forgot, the Brain Dead costars first met back in the ’70s when the Texas native was just an employee at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this terrible, terrible loss.
