So, Woody Allen sued CEO Dov Charney and his hipster clothing empire American Apparel for $10 million last year when Allen’s image appeared on AA billboards in New York and Los Angeles without the 73-year-old’s permission!
Allen’s lawsuit stated “the billboard falsely implied that Allen sponsored, endorsed or was associated with American Apparel.”
This all from a company the actor/director finds “sleazy” and “infantile“!
American Apparel company lawyer Stuart Slotnick has made sure to live up to the clothing brand’s “sleazy and infantile” reputation!
Slotnick is now arguing that Woody’s past infidelities have already tarnished the director’s public image!!
“Certainly, our belief is that after the various sex scandals that Woody Allen has been associated with, corporate America’s desire to have Woody Allen endorse their product is not what he may believe it is,” Slotnick stated on behalf of AA.
Slotnick and his band of legal goons have demanded the legal documents surrounding Woody’s affair with adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn in 1992 to be included in the May 18th trial!!
How is that even relevant???
Allen’s spokeswoman Leslee Dart says Woody has no intention on responding to such garbage and AA’s demand for the documents is “vexatious, oppressive, harassing.”
Uh, yeah! Vexatious indeed!
