This would have been inneresting casting — and just as we suspected over the summer, it almost happened!
Angie Simpson, mother of singer Cody Simpson, revealed on Friday that she was indeed all set to be a cast member earlier this year on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!
The only problem? Her working visa was declined by American immigration officials!

Angie took to Instagram on Friday discussing the show, saying:
“Yes I started filming on the ‘Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ this season and was excited to bring a cool aspect to the show of a chill Aussie Mum! But due to my USA working visa being declined by immigration i had to pull out of the show and the rest of the season. This was quite a blow to me after working so hard to get the job. I am currently still working hard with US immigration 4 months later trying to get it approved and to be able to work for myself and be able to stay with my children here in the USA!”

Of course, Foster’s daughter is Gigi Hadid — Cody’s ex — and while that probably wouldn’t have been awkward for Cody and Gigi since they seem to be amicable exes, we can bet it would have made for some fun RHOBH talk!

Based on Angie’s message, though, it sounds like the self-proclaimed “chill Aussie mom” is still trying to get on the show — maybe next season…
