HAHA! Anna Wintour Told Jenna Bush Hager, Hoda Kotb, & Savannah Guthrie To SHUT UP At US Open!

Anna Wintour was not a fan of these Today co-hosts over the weekend!

On Monday’s episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna, co-anchors Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb opened up about their time at the US Open, where they were joined by fellow journalist Savannah Guthrie to watch the men’s finals on Sunday. As it turns out, things may have gotten a little too rowdy! Hoda reflected on the weekend activity, sharing:

“Tennis is fun! We were loud and annoying.”

LOLz! At least she’s owning it!

Jenna then recalled that former professional player Stan Smith was actually encouraging them “to be louder.” On the other hand, nearby Anna Wintour was not into it, she dished:

“I think Anna Wintour asked us to quiet down.”

Hoda agreed, recalling the Vogue editor-in-chief telling them to shush. Hah!

Sounds like the ladies didn’t let the request get them down, though! They also enjoyed spotting Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce from across the court — who were similarly dancing, singing, and having a great time at the event! Noting that the crowd was “chanting Taylor” for Taylor Fritz who was in the match, Jenna stressed that she wanted to make sure the athlete realized people were rooting for him and not just freaking out over the pop star, so she came up with her own chant, she recalled:

“So, we wanted to make sure Taylor Fritz knew that we were cheering for him, so we would call him Fritzy. ‘Fritzy! Fritzy! Fritzy!’”

No wonder Anna was pissed! They sound like they were loud. LOLz! Hoda then teased Jenna kept trying to make “Fritzy” happen:

“It wasn’t happening. Jenna kept trying. … Fritz went a little bit more after you kept yelling it, but it took a minute!”

LMFAO! They sound like a fun group to watch sports with — as long as you don’t mind loads of shouting! BTW, it’s traditionally customary to stay quiet during tennis games to let players focus, though some players have stated publicly that they don’t mind fans cheering. Obviously very different from a lot of other sports. So yeah, Anna wasn’t necessarily in the wrong for telling the women to quiet down!
