Ugh, scary!
In the wake of Anton Yelchin‘s tragic death, fellow Jeep owners are frantically trying to make sure the same freak accident doesn’t happen to them.
To catch you up, the 27-year-old actor was found Sunday pinned between his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and the gate of his Studio City home after the vehicle rolled backward down the steep driveway. This model has been recalled numerous times for a flawed gear design that makes it difficult to tell if your SUV is in neutral or park. So tragic.

Just one problem… dealerships around the country don’t have the equipment or the four-hour software to fix the gear shifter! And the ones that do are backed up with wait lists of over 60 cars. Wow!
In the meantime, TMZ reports service employees are giving owners tutorials to hopefully avoid the highly dangerous problem.
This makes us so nervous!!!
