Ariana Grande has been suffering the bad publicity of a plagiarism scandal for much of the last 24 hours after she was accused by Princess Nokia of ripping off her work for 7 Rings.
Well, not only is this story not close to running its course, unfortunately for Ariana, but things just got a whole lot more complicated with new plagiarism accusations flying in several directions! Uh-oh!!

OK so here’s where we’re at, after Nokia came for Ariana on Friday.
First off, Ariana herself sent a couple tweets last night that sure appear to be some kind of response to this controversy. She wrote (below):

Interesting… an attempt at a deflection, or what?!
Regardless, fans are already pointing out that while Ariana’s new work may sound like Nokia’s Mine, Grande is now taking heat because some people feel the song actually rips off Soulja Boy‘s Pretty Boy Swag (below):
soulja boy said he was the most influential rapper on a wednesday and had ariana grande rapping in a “pretty boy swag” flow on “7 rings” by friday

Ariana Grande’s #7Rings rides Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag” wave while the video is plucked straight out of 2 Chainz’s pink trap house. I just…idk ???? pic.twitter.com/x357S8d9of

Whoa!
OK, and that last tweet right there (above) — that’s important, too!
Others are pointing out that the general aesthetic of Ariana’s 7 Rings video rips off 2 Chainz‘s infamous pink trap house that showed up in a video a few years ago (below):
Yeeerrrrr @2chainz your alarm going off? They tryna take the swag again. pic.twitter.com/Hnkxk6PjIO

What a find!!
Other fans are more skeptical about the whole thing — with some even outright-criticizing Princess Nokia for accusing Ariana of the rip-off in the first place (below):

"mine" sound like "spend it." "spend it" sound like flockaveli. i'm not taking a hard stance because i get that there's a deeper complaint about this rollout that i want to hear more about. but in the case of this song, it's pretty rich to claim complete ownership of the concept.

Bless Nokia but that flow wasn't new when she used it either.

Wait, what was that last tweet about?!
Yeah… so, it turns out that still other fans have totally flipped on Princess Nokia — and they are accusing her of ripping off Kali Uchis for the song in the first place, before Ariana even ripped off Nokia! Turnabout is fair play??
Look (below):

nokia : ariana copied me
everyone : but you copied kali uchis

Crazy!!!
And honestly pretty hard to keep up after a while!!!

so ariana ripped off princess nokia and princess nokia ripped off kali uchis but both ariana and princess nokia ripped off soulja boy ? pic.twitter.com/cCoJHR8P6P
