Ariana Grande could very well win her first Grammy on Sunday… but she won’t be there to collect it!
After having an alleged argument with the award show’s producers over which songs she would perform, the Sweetener songstress not only backed out of performing at the upcoming show, she’s not even GOING to it!
According to Variety sources, the 25-year-old felt “insulted” when Grammy producers originally refused to allow her to perform 7 Rings. While producers eventually compromised by allowing Ari’s latest single to be part of a medley, the songstress ended up pulling out after producers insisted that they get to choose the second song.

The insider added that these conditions weren’t imposed on any other performers at the February 10 show.
Ari’s been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance for God is a Woman and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener, and has been featured on billboards all over the country to promote the show — so, her absence will be awkward to say the least.
Moral of the story: let the woman do what she wants.
