Ariana Grande has had a tougher 12 months than most.

The 26-year-old rapper passed away in September from an accidental overdose, with the autopsy report revealing he had fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol all in his system.

It’s clear Ari is still mourning his loss as she most recently struggled to get through a performance of thank u, next during her Washington, D.C. concert.
And on Thursday, the 25-year-old starlet shared a post about “healing” to her Instagram Story. Posting a beautiful black and white piece of art, she wrote on it:

“Healing is hard work. Accept da ups and downs. be gentle with yourself and surround yourself with gentle energy. you’re not alone.”

And just hours before on her IG Story, she also thanked her fans for supporting her through everything. Grande penned:

“U make everything better. thank you for your energy. truly. I love y’all, so much. u have no idea how much y’all help me / how happy u make me. sharing a state / this life with y’all is so beautiful. thank u so much for being here. and for reminding me why i am too!”

Our hearts.
While the former Nickelodeon star’s career has truly taken off, it hasn’t been with its ups and downs.
Back in December, she actually reflected on it while accepting Billboard‘s Woman of the Year Award, confessing:

“I want to say that I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years of my career and the worst of my life. I’m not saying that for sympathy, I’m just saying that because I think a lot of people would look at someone in my position right now…and think, ‘She’s really got her s**t together,’ Ya know? Like, ‘She’s really on it.’ Like, ‘She’s got it all.'”

But as Ariana continued, holding back tears:

“I do, but as far as my personal life goes, I really have no idea what the f**k I’m doing so yeah, it’s been a very conflicting one. I just want to say if you’re someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter’s gonna bring, you’re not alone in that. Ew, I’m not gonna cry that’s really stupid… You’re not alone in that. I’m really looking forward to embracing whatever happens; whatever comes my way.”

And the pop star finished off her speech, echoing her sentiments from thank u, next, by saying she’s going to give herself a bit more love:

“I look forward to hopefully learning to give some of the love and forgiveness that I’ve given away so frivolously and easily to men in the past to myself hopefully this year. I have everything I’ve ever dreamt of having and as of late I’ve discovered that it’s the things I’ve always had and the people I’ve always had that still make me the happiest.”

Keep loving yourself, girl. Healing is a long process, but you’re doing your best!
