Azealia Banks will NOT be going to jail… for now!
On Wednesday, the 212 rapper took a plea deal for her bizarre boob biting case in NYC. As you surely know, the controversial songwriter was accused of assault after she allegedly chomped down on the breast of a female security guard who was throwing her out of 1Oak back in 2015.

But it seems as though Miz Banks’ case won’t be going to trial, as she’s struck a deal to get out of this mess. According to PageSix, Azealia pled guilty to the third-degree assault charge in exchange for a deferred ├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣no-jail ├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣sentence. When asked by Judge Ann Scherzer if she “intentionally cause[d] physical injury to Christine Soares,” the 25-year-old simply muttered:
“Yes.”
Well that explains why Judge Scherzer has ordered Azealia to complete an anger management program and to continue on with her mental health treatment. Obviously, the Chasing Time artist is expected to follow the full order of protection AND should avoid any future run-ins with the law. In fact, if the NY native violates these terms in any way, she could end up spending a year behind bars.
However, if Azealia can keep her nose clean, her assault conviction will be reduced to a disorderly conduct violation. We can’t say we’re surprised by Banks’ plea deal, especially since Assistant District Attorney Shea Donato said she was planning on bringing up the starlet’s other controversies during the trial.
In case you forgot, Azealia made headlines for getting into an altercation with Russell Crowe AND is said to have slashed her sister in the neck, arm, and hand back in 2008. Oh, and let’s not forget about how the outspoken musician JUST skipped the hearing for this case as she was still at Paris Fashion Week.
Yeaaaaaah, the plea deal was a smart choice. We doubt she would’ve walked away the victor if the case actually made it to trial!
