Peter Weber Is Still Single & Was 'Never Really Back Together' With Madison Prewett After That Explosive Bachelor Finale

You might’ve noticed Peter Weber has been keeping a relatively low profile ever since his season of The Bachelor ended in such a chaotic fashion that’ll be remembered for years to come.

The 28-year-old star has reportedly been hanging with the fam at home (and probably licking his wounds) all while his exes Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss have been making headlines lately in their own right.

As reported, Madi enjoyed some quality girl time with her new BFF Selena Gomez; meanwhile, Hannah Ann absolutely slayed her press tour (and took her shot at hunk Tyler Cameron) after the rose-filled fiasco transpired. So, what about poor old pilot Pete??

A source close to the situation told People that Weber is 100 percent “single” as a dollar bill right now!

“Peter is single. He’s taking some time to figure out what he wants to do next.”

Viewers saw him try to work things out with Prewett on the After The Final Rose live special last week after his engagement to Sluss ultimately ended. It was revealed the two still cared for each other deeply but Pete’s mom Barbara epically thwarted those plans, insisting the 23-year-old foster parent recruiter was not the right woman for her son.

Just two days later, Madison and Peter announced their decision to amicably part ways amid all of the drama. But ultimately, “they were never really back together,” says the show source, adding:

“They just realized they couldn’t make it work.”

Hmm. Well, even with this new context about their *split* this is still not entirely surprising! The odds were certainly stacked against them from the start…

A second insider divulged Madison’s perspective to the outlet:

“Madison is very saddened by everything that’s transpired. She cares for Peter and wanted to work through their challenges. But it just got too difficult and seemed like everything was against them.”

For a little while, there was speculation that Peter had secretly been involved with his producer, Julie LaPlaca, along with rumors of a romance with booted contestant Kelley Flanagan but both women have denied the claims. The source clarified Weber “is not dating anyone now” and taking time to recover from this experience:

“Everything that Peter went through on The Bachelor really hit him hard. He is aware that people think he made a ton of mistakes. But he never wanted to hurt anyone and he truly hoped he’d find a relationship that would last.”
