Bam Margera is getting a second shot at kicking his substance abuse problem.
Hours after his arrest over a hotel bar altercation, the Jackass alum was readmitted into a rehab facility — and this time, he’ll have to follow a strict set of rules.
Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Bam checked back into rehab immediately after he was released from police custody. The facility he’s staying at is demanding a commitment from the reality star, and has given him a series of guidelines he must follow over the course of his stay. Fortunately, Bam reportedly agreed to all the conditions.
As we reported, the 39-year-old first checked into rehab last week following an intense, three hour session with Dr. Phil McGraw. The father-of-one was set to enter a 60-90 day program to treat his alcoholism, but he lasted less than a week.

Days later, the MTV icon was arrested in El Lay early Wednesday morning at the Luxe Hotel on Sunset. Law enforcement says they were called after Bam got into an altercation with patrons at the hotel bar and refused to leave the property when asked by staff.
Apparently, the Viva La Bam star had been trolling bar patrons by telling them he’d been hired by one of their wives to catch someone at the bar cheating on her — which, TBH, sounds like it would’ve made for a great Jackass bit under different circumstances.
Police, however, were not laughing upon the TV personality’s arrest. In a video published by TMZ (watch it HERE!), you can hear an officer telling the prankster:
“This is not a f**king reality TV show. I know you’re fresh out of rehab, so let’s get your s**t together.”
Harsh words. But it sounds like Bam needed to hear them!
Family sources, meanwhile, told the outlet they’ve never seen him struggle like this before — and they think they know why: Bam is allegedly not taking medication for his bipolar disorder.

This would definitely explain his recent bizarre behavior, like his string of manic-depressive Instagram videos in which he initially begged Dr. Phil to help him and his family out.
As for the TV doctor, he hopes Bam can stick with the rehab program this time around and keep fighting his “disease.” He told the outlet:
“I hope he can resume treatment. My attitude is NEVER surrender to the disease. It is a tug of war and you just can’t ever drop your end of the rope… Bam is such a charming, hard working and talented guy. You can’t help but like and pull for him. Fingers crossed.”
