Beyoncé Fans SLAM ‘Racist’ CMA Awards For Completely Shutting Out Cowboy Carter With ZERO Nominations!

Beyoncé was completely shut out of nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards… And fans are LIVID!

Earlier this year, the iconic songstress kicked off her country era with lead single Texas Hold ‘Em — which had TikTok AND the charts in a total chokehold — before releasing her album Cowboy Carter in March. It featured some pretty iconic music with even more iconic collaborators! Contributions ranged from legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, to newer artists like Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, and Shaboozey. We mean, this album proudly planted its flag AND basked in its countryness. But we guess it wasn’t country enough for the Country Music Association

When they revealed their nominations on Monday, Cowboy Carter didn’t receive so much as a wink — despite it going #1 on Billboard, including the Country Album charts! And get this… Queen Bey was the FIRST Black woman to do so since the chart debuted in 1964! So fans have THOUGHTS.

On X (Twitter), users quickly came down on the association for the clear snub:

“Well done CMAs, keep [continuing to prove] that y’all are just a bunch of racists. Beyoncé made history with Cowboy Carter and achieved more than any other country album or artist the past few years Y’all are just too damn scared of her”

“No one in the history of having a #1 album AND song has been completely snubbed at an award show. IN ANY CATEGORY. The CMAs can kiss the blackest part of my ass. Beyonce deserved better.”

“Oh this is racist”

“Beyonce having the best country album and country song and still not receiving any nominations doesn’t sit right with me”

“I am disappointed, to say the least, that @Beyonce didn’t receive a @CountryMusic CMA nomination. The album is one of the best of all genres this year and is a work on a level that few contemporary albums reach. This is Nashville’s and country music’s loss.”

“Beyoncé was f**king robbed.”

Hell, even Shaboozey, himself, who received noms for Best New Artist AND Single of the Year with A Bar Song, took to the social media platform to speak out in favor of the Daddy Lessons singer:

“That goes without saying. Thank you @Beyonce for opening a door for us, starting a conversation, and giving us one of the most innovative country albums of all time!”
