Accusers' Lawyer Says Bill Cosby's Wife Has No Legal Reason To Avoid A Deposition

Bill's lawyers say they plan to appeal her defamation.
Bill Cosby‘s wife, Camille, has been trying to fight her upcoming deposition in her husband’s lawsuit, even though US District Judge David Hennessy already denied the attempt to get out of it.
And now Joseph Cammarata, who is representing seven women who are suing the comedian for defamation, told People that he completely agrees with the judge’s decision, saying there’s no legal reason the 71-year-old should be able to avoid being deposed:

“I don’t think there’s any basis for appeal. Absent a court order directly that she need not appear, we expect that she will honor the subpoena and give testimony.”

Camille is supposed to be questioned about claims that the scandalized star drugged and sexually assaulted these accusers.

However, the actor’s spokesperson, Monique Pressley, has said that his lawyers plan on appealing Judge David’s ruling, but no papers have been filed yet.
So, if they still plan to appeal, they better act fast, because the deposition is scheduled for Wednesday, at the Marriott hotel in Springfield, Massachusetts.
