As we reported last November, NBC cancelled a sitcom they were developing with Bill Cosby in the wake of accusations that he sexually assaulted various women.

Earlier today, NBC president Robert Greenblatt was asked by reporters if it was safe to say that the network is through working with the comedian.
Greenblatt responded:

“I think it’s safe to say.”

When asked to clarify why they scrapped Cosby’s project, he said:

“Fifteen women came out and accused [Bill Cosby] of having done what they accused him of doing├óΓé¼┬ªWe knew there were a couple of settlements and what not…it didn’t seem to be the sort of thing that was critical mass. When we realized that there seemed to be so much more of it, it wasn’t something that we could just go, ‘Oh, we’re not sure.’ He hasn’t been proven guilty of anything, so I don’t want to be the one who says guilty until proven innocent, but when that many people come out and have similar complaints and it becomes such a tainted situation, there was no way we could move forward with it.”

Oh boy! This scandal keeps heating up!
