This is awesome news for the franchise!
Bill Murray is now going to be appearing in the Ghostbusters reboot that’s due out summer 2016, according to reports!
The actor — who played Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters and the sequel Ghostbusters II, both in the 1980s, will appear as part of the cast in the upcoming reboot directed by Paul Feig.

This is huge news mainly because Murray had been so conflicted about appearing in the film, even earlier this year openly discussing he didn’t want to appear in a reboot after Ghostbusters II was received so poorly in 1989.
Well, none of that matters now that Murray has signed on to the film, which will debut July 22, 2016, and stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth.
