Ready or not, Fyre Festival 2 is locked and loaded.
Well, OK, not quite. There is still a ton of work for disgraced fraudster founder Billy McFarland to actually do in order to get the festival redux up and running next spring. But he at least has a date in mind now! And he’s already selling tickets — including a package that costs well over a MILLION dollars! Seriously!!!

On Monday, the embattled 32-year-old ex-con spoke to TODAY host Savannah Sellers about the Fyre Fest sequel. The biggest news for this second shot at a festival, which follows eight years after the legendary and ill-fated first attempt back in 2017, is that Billy has a date picked out! According to him, Fyre Festival 2 will go down from April 25-28, 2025.
Mark your calendars! You know, to follow along with the s**t show on social media. Or maybe to go to it! If you’re brave. And if you’ve got the coin… Billy explained:
“We have a private island off the coast of Mexico in the Caribbean, and we have an incredible production company who’s handling everything from soup to nuts.”
Hmmm… so Ja Rule won’t be in charge of things this time?! Nnnnope!! Per Billy, his Fyre Fest 2 crew is using that unnamed production company to put in the work to make sure that the island is ready to go this time around:
“We are developing and building out the private island for the actual festival festivities.”
Sounds great… uh, we hope! For Billy’s sake AND for his guests.
So, the natural next question has to do with talent. Who is going to perform there?! Which influencers are going to be on the scene?? Sadly, Billy has no talent booked yet. None. Like, none at all. The festival is a little more than seven months away, and all the A-list acts book up pretty far ahead of time, so he might want to get on that, ya know?! But he hasn’t gotten that far yet. Uh-oh…
Still, he has high hopes for the experience. For one, the man found guilty of two counts of wire fraud for his awful work as part of 2017’s original Fyre Festival wants not only musical guests and influencers on hand, but also… fighters? He told TODAY:
“It’s not going to be just music — for example, karate combat. We’re in talks with them to set up a pit to have, like, live fights at Fyre Festival II.”
Uhhh… OK.
He’s also looking at a variety of luxury yacht experiences that visitors can enjoy — as well as the chance for attendees to scuba dive with Billy himself! He explained:
“You will be on a boat, have the luxury yachts that we partner with who will be docked and parked outside the island. But once again, Fyre is not just about this, like, luxury experience. It’s about the adventure. So, you’ll be scuba diving with me. You’ll be bouncing around to other islands and other countries on small planes.”
For now, McFarland says he’s already sold more than 100 tickets for the event — all costing about $500 each. But that’s only scratching the surface! Full ticket packages will range from $1,400 per person to… get ready for it… $1.1 MILLION.
Yes, you can spend seven figures going to an island festival led by a man previously convicted of wire fraud for his first festival f**k up. And this time around, he still has no talent booked and no concrete plans yet. Hand over your credit cards NOW! LOLz!!
At least he does have a little bit of humor through it all. The controversial festival head said Fyre Fest 2 will dish out a knowing wink at its first ill-fated run by offering cheese sandwiches — yes, like the ones infamously served to guests in those pathetic styrofoam containers back in 2017. Billy said:
“We will have cheese sandwiches. They’re going to be super expensive, too. We’re going to make them, like, really good. That’ll be the highest-priced food item, I think.”
Uh-huh…
He then tried to conclude things on a high note:
“I think that most people, once they kind of get under the hood and study the plans and see the team behind Fyre II, they see the upside. We have the chance to embrace this storm and really steer our ship into all the chaos that has happened. And if it’s done well, I think Fyre has a chance to be this annual festival that really takes over the festival industry.”
