Billy Ray Cyrus’ Ex-Wife Firerose Says She Is ‘Glad The Truth Is Coming To Light’ Amid Family Concern

Billy Ray Cyrus’ ex-wife is speaking out after his son’s emotional plea.

On Monday, the 63-year-old singer performed at the Liberty Ball following Donald Trump’s inauguration… and it was a complete disaster. Like Carrie Underwood, he experience technical difficulties while singing Old Town Road and Achy Breaky Heart. Billy Ray tried to push through it and sing a capella, but when the issues persisted, he asked the crowd if they wanted him to “just get the hell off the stage.” Watch the show (below):

The whole thing is so hard to watch. While Billy Ray blamed the horrible performance on faulty equipment, his son Trace Cyrus believes something more concerning is happening here. The 35-year-old musician penned a heartbreaking message on Instagram to say he and his sisters Miley, Noah, and Brandi are “genuinely worried” about their father and have been “for years.”

Trace noted he doesn’t know exactly what Billy Ray is “struggling with” but has a “pretty good idea” of what it would be, and now fears because of it that “the world may lose you far too soon.” Oh no. Ultimately, the overall message was that he was here for the Hannah Montana alum if he wanted help. Read the entire post (below) if you haven’t yet:

This is very sad.

At this time, none of the other family members have addressed the post or made a similar public plea to their dad yet. He hasn’t even reacted to the message! However, someone else who was once close to Billy Ray has addressed the situation: Firerose. Speaking to Page Six on Thursday, she expressed how upsetting it is to see her ex-husband continuing to struggle as he did during their marriage:

“What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship. It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem.”

During their messy divorce, Firerose accused the actor of struggling with “persistent drug use accompanied with the consumption of marijuana,” which made him “unpredictable and volatile” towards her. He denied the allegations. However, Trace and the family aren’t convinced all is well with Billy Ray…

For her part, it sounds like Firerose wants him to heal but doesn’t want to get involved in the drama too much. Fair. She’s no longer married to him, so no one would expect her to step in to help. And honestly, we doubt Billy Ray would even want Firerose by his side through whatever is going on, given the nasty breakup. The 25-year-old War is Won singer told the outlet she is “focused” on her “faith,” “music,” “healing,” and using her “story to encourage others to find strength and hope” instead right now.

We wish Billy Ray nothing but the best and hope he gets the help he may need. Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know.
