Carrie Underwood Threw A 'Hissy Fit' After Tech-Troubled Trump Inauguration Performance: REPORT

Carrie Underwood faced a major technical difficulty during her controversial performance amid President Donald Trump‘s inauguration on Monday. And she made it work like a pro in public… before reportedly RAGING in private!

During the ceremony, the country star was set to perform America the Beautiful, but her backing track cut out abruptly, before she was even able to start singing. After an incredibly awkward few moments as the tech team tried to sort out the issue, she decided to sing a capella, asking the audience to help her out.

TBH, for a blunder like that at such a high-profile moment, she pulled it off really well. Check it out:

Not everyone could keep their calm like that… but, apparently, Carrie didn’t really either. Not later, after the cameras were off!

For someone who was so proud to get the chance to sing for the Prez, despite a ton of backlash from fans, Carrie was left feeling REALLY unappreciated after. Speaking to DailyMail.com after the mishap, a source said she was furious she was not given a “stage or platform” to perform on like previous performers had been given — though this is likely because the event was moved inside at the last minute. Nevertheless, the source shared:

“Carrie was dissatisfied with her performance at the event, primarily due to the limited space she was given, which left her feeling cramped and uncomfortable.”

But, really, it sounds like she’s just annoyed she wasn’t given the star treatment she believes others got before her, the insider continued:

“Her anxiety was high throughout the performance, and she felt that she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, had received. She felt as if she was ushered in and out and had a mini hissy fit afterwards.”

Well, if she’s the type who complains she isn’t treated well enough, her support of Donald Trump is starting to make more sense! LOLz!

The source went on to make excuses for her performance, sharing:

“She is used to playing at massive venues with a stage to herself. She was not given a stage or a platform even. She felt like she was literally just in a room with people all around her and a microphone. This threw off the acoustics.”

Well, she’s not wrong! She was in a crowded room, but that should not have been too much of a surprise once she knew the event was going to be inside.

A second insider told the outlet that the singer has mixed feelings about the performance, expressing:

“Though her performance wasn’t ideal, nor was it what she wanted it to be as she wanted it to go down without a hitch, the fact that there was some awkwardness getting things going just added to the unique nature of it all.”

They continued:

“She will eventually laugh about it and take it for what it was, but she is disappointed that it wasn’t more of a moment as the moment she was searching for got altered with the technical difficulties.”

She must really think she sounded terrible! The funny thing is, though, she seems to be getting praised online for her professionalism. Like, if anything, this mistake only made the outcome better for her — especially after all the backlash! Sure, it wasn’t ideal, but it won her a ton of brownie points from viewers. That’s not nothing!

Ending on a positive note, the second confidant said Carrie is “proud of herself” for being “able to save it from being a total disaster.” They said:

“Though it isn’t her day, and she just wanted to add to the day and not upstage anything, she was annoyed of how it turned out.”

It is disappointing for her! We just hope she wasn’t too much of a diva!
