Blake Lively missed out on a big opportunity because of all the It Ends with Us drama!
The season 50 premiere of Saturday Night Live in September almost looked a lot different… With the Gossip Girl alum as host instead of Jean Smart! But because of the nasty fallout from her drama with IEWU co-star/director Justin Baldoni, she felt she had to back out. That’s at least what she’s claiming!
In her bombshell sexual harassment complaint filed against Justin, the 37-year-old claimed she “did not believe she could proceed with public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened on set.”
Yikes… That makes a lot of sense, though. We mean, EVERYONE was talking about it. The docs add:
“The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial. For example, Ms. Lively cancelled a critical Target corporate event for her haircare company, and she backed out of her scheduled role to host the premier episode of the 50th anniversary season of Saturday Night Live in September 2024.”
We honestly get it! The show would have quickly become about that rather than her hosting capabilities or the show’s milestone 50th season premiere! It just makes you wonder what could have been…
