Is Blake Lively hurt that Taylor Swift snubbed her with no invite to the Super Bowl this year?
In case you haven’t heard, rumors are that the longtime friends are feuding, all because the Green Lantern star dragged the Mirrorball artist into her nasty legal battle with Justin Baldoni. Taylor reportedly felt a bit “used” and “doesn’t appreciate being referred to as one of Blake’s dragons.” Remember that super strange Game of Thrones text?
While reports first suggested that Tay invited Blake and Ryan Reynolds to join her suite at the big game in New Orleans on Sunday, just like last year, that turned out not to be true! According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge said Blake did NOT make the guest list! Ouch! Guess they really do have some bad blood!
What does Blake think about the snub? Is she upset at Taylor for not inviting her? Apparently, no! At least, that is what the latest sources suggest! And it’s all because the actress never had any intention of going to the Super Bowl this year, even if Taylor had asked her to go! What! An insider revealed to Dailymail.com on Saturday that Blake would not come to the game since she wants to lay low! Also, the source said she does not want to risk overshadowing the Grammy winner and her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s night with her drama:
“Taylor is not shading Blake or is she trying to teach her a lesson. It isn’t like that. Even if Taylor did invite Blake, Blake would not come. She would never want to make Taylor’s big night – where she is going to see the love of her life play in another Super Bowl – about her. Blake would not want to overshadow Taylor ever.”
Hmm.
Blake may not have planned on ever going and feel all is well between them! But from what we’ve heard, Taylor doesn’t feel the same way! She reportedly thinks their bond is fractured and even might be purposefully staying away from the A Simple Favor star! Hence the lack of invite to the Super Bowl! Yikes!
But while Taylor is living it up in New Orleans, Blake has other more important things to worry about right now! Obviously, she has her ongoing legal dispute with Justin. Then she may soon have to return to the public eye to promote her upcoming film Another Simple Favor, which premieres at SXSW and on Prime Video on May 1. A source close to production told Dailymail.com:
“Blake may have to do promotional work for another Simple Favor due to contractual obligations unless they decide that it is best for her not to.”
Given she also has rumored beef with co-star Anna Kendrick, they may not have her out promoting the film…
For now, Blake is staying with her husband and their four children in their New York City penthouse. However, the production insisted pointed out that she knows she can’t hide “forever” at home:
“Other than that, she is staying close to home because she doesn’t want to deal with the added stress. She is focused on her family and her kids right now. She knows she cannot stay in hiding forever.”
