Brad Pitt is feeling the sting of his kids pushing him away!
As you know, several of the Brangelina’s kids have dropped their father’s last name following his 2016 breakup with their mom, Angelina Jolie, including Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne. However, Maddox and Shiloh took things a step further by making the change legal! The eldest son has just made the request this week, and if granted, he will go by Maddox Chivan Jolie moving forward.
And that is what hurts the most out of everything Brad has experienced since his marriage to Angelina ended — his kids no longer wanting to be associated with him! A source told Us Weekly on Friday:
“He feels most hurt out of everything that happened with Angie that his children don’t want a public association with his last name. It’s been very difficult.”

What did the actor expect? Brad allegedly physically attacked and verbally abused Angelina and the children before the divorce! And the alleged physical abuse of the Maleficent actress “started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip,” according to an old court filing. Alleged mistreatment like that is hard to come back from when it comes to kids! And it doesn’t help matters when your “pals” keep blaming Ange for your strained relationships instead of your own alleged actions!
However, Brad is hopeful things can change eventually. The Bullet Train star also recognizes he can’t push any of the children to reconcile with him. The insider said:
“[Brad] still does hope and keeps the door open to eventual reconciliation, hopefully with all of them, but it is their decision. He has no power and he can’t force them.”
But Brad is also scared that if he doesn’t do something soon, a reconciliation will never happen:
“[Brad’s] biggest fear is to be permanently disconnected from the kids because he does want to find a way to make things right. His biggest fear is that too much time is going by and the more time without something happening, the harder it will be to reconcile.”
Unfortunately for Brad, it isn’t up to him! Most of his kids are adults now, so they decide if they ever want to reconnect! And they seemingly don’t want to, at least for now!
