We’re not sure what surprises us less, the fact that customers take personal offense at Brian Lichtenberg’s new drug-glorifying line of apparel or that Lindsay Lohan backs him 100%!
Kitson recently released the designer’s line of jersey-inspired t-shirts, which feature the names of “designer drugs” like Xanex, Adderall and Vicodin, printed on the back.
Obvi when the El Lay retailer posted the ads (above) on their social networks, their timeline was flooded with angry and threatening messages because that’s what people do these days.
Rather than giving in to customers’ requests, Kitson refused to take down the shirts and released a personal statement from Brian regarding the backlash:
Not even 24 hours after the statement was released, Lindsay, who in case you forgot is fresh out of rehab, showed her support for the designer with her own tweet:
Prob late to the party but love your new line http://t.co/WcYwzefVi5 @BriLichtenberg
— Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) August 26, 2013
To be fair, she was specifically referring to his “Homies” line, a play on Hermes, but the fact that the former Adderall user posted it after this “designer drugs” dramz is verrrrryyy inneresting — and bad timing!
Thoughts???
