Following a very difficult (and very high-profile) struggle across the past couple months, it’s good to hear that Britney Spears apparently had a great Mother’s Day weekend with her two sons!
The 37-year-old pop star enjoyed a visit from Sean Preston, 13, and Jayden James, 12 — her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline — and according to a source with knowledge of the weekend, the kids’ arrival to visit Brit came at the perfect time for the singer.

Speaking to ET, the source revealed just how great a Mother’s Day Brit had with her children by her side (below):
“Britney had a wonderful Mother’s Day with the kids. The boys went to see her on Mother’s Day and they celebrated together. The boys missed her so much while she was away and they’ve been spending some quality time together.”
Awww! So wonderful!
The holiday comes just after Spears and her family dealt with a new hearing on her conservatorship in a Los Angeles courtroom. And along with all the high-profile attention about her mental health status, it’s generally been easier for Britney to stay at home and lay low right now, the source reveals (below):
“She’s been staying at home a great deal and still seems to be facing some difficult days ahead. Britney’s team is very involved and even while Jamie has been ill he is able to handle the day-to-day decisions she needs. Britney still worries terribly about her father and taking time with him helps. The constant support from Sam and spending time with her boys is also a great support.”
As for the rest of the drama in Spears’ life, two major points keep coming up: her mother, Lynne, and medication.
As Brit tries to get one just right, the other seems to fall out of balance — and according to the source, if both can find their right fit around Brit’s current conservatorship status, things could improve pretty quickly for the pop star herself (below):
“Britney’s mother has always wanted to have a position in Britney’s conservatorship. Her mom has tried at different points, for years, to have some sort of say. Medication is key for Britney and that is much of the focus at this point. It hasn’t been an easy process and she still deals with obsessing about things and worries people aren’t supporting her.”
Hmmm… at least she’s got that amazing boyfriend of hers!!!
