Wow! Talk about momentum!
The very successful Captain America: The Winter Soldier topped the box office this weekend, beating out Fox’s Rio 2.
Some believe that this is because families are out enjoying the good weather, AND Rio 2 is competing with Muppets Most Wanted and Mr. Peabody & Sherman in their genre.
Still, Captain America is expected to rake in $158 million domestically, making $476.1 million worldwide! The first Captain America only brought in $370.5 million TOTAL!
Even Divergent has only made $175.1 million worldwide, up to this point!
It’ll be inneresting to see how long The Winter Soldier can keep its run going!
