Marvel Studios shocked fans on Tuesday morning by giving them exactly what they wanted!
Not just more of the same (although there’s plenty of that too!), but also the first female superhero solo movie with Captain Marvel!

In the comics, Carol Danvers is an Air Force officer who meets a genetically engineered alien and accidentally gains his powers.
With flight, super strength, and the ability to channel radiation, she becomes one of the most powerful heroes in the world!
We’re always excited to see a girl kicking butt, so we can’t wait!
But as with all Marvel movies, they have to get the casting just right! So who is up to playing such a powerful hero? Here are our top suggestions:
Charlize Theron is just screaming for a lead role worthy of her talents. Not to mention she’s the spitting image of the character!
We mean, come on! Doesn’t the gurl just LOOK like a superhero??
Katee Sackhoff is a fan favorite from her days as a heroic but troubled fighter pilot on Battlestar Galactica. She can handle the kick-butt no problem.
Plus fans didn’t hate hearing rumors she was in talks with Marvel!
Starring on The Walking Dead certainly gave Laurie Holden the geek cred. We’d love to see her go from battling zombies to fighting Chitauri.
