Car Crashes aren’t all bad. If you don’t believe us, just ask Halle Berry, who was spurred into community service after severely injuring her head in a car accident in 1997.
Berry works at the Jenesse Center, an LA charity that focuses on helping battered women and their children make a fresh start.
During a lunch with Ronald Perelman, Revlon mogul, and other guests from the Jenesse Center, Halle explained how it was only after she was sentenced to 250 hours of community service for leaving the scene of the accident (she had amnesia and needed 17 stitches on her forehead, so it’s understandable), that she realized she wasn’t giving back enough.
Perelman then announced that Revlon will donate half of the $500,000 that the center needs for a new building. In the midst of the excitement, Halle did a lap around the tables and gave everyone a high-five.
Love it!
