Cardi B Says ‘FORMER Team Member’ Posted Transphobic Meme On Her Facebook Page

Cardi B addressed transphobic meme Facebook

Don’t blame Cardi B for the transphobic post that popped up on her official Facebook page over the weekend.
The Bodak Yellow rapper took to Twitter on Sunday to address the post that ignited the outrage of many, claiming it was the doing of a “FORMER team member” of hers who still has access to the account.

The meme shared on Cardi’s verified FB account showed a cartoon image of a man walking through the door alongside the text:

“I hope nobody see this tranny leave my house [laughing emojis]”

After several fans blasted the post for being transphobic, the mother of one took to social media to explain she no longer uses the page:

It may not have been her doing this time, but Cardi has previously come under fire for using the term “tranny” in reference to the trans community.
The 25-year-old defended her use of the word in a Periscope video recorded in January, claiming that at the time she “did not know that that was a bad word ‘cause trans people use it.”
Cardi probably should have relayed that message to her team members.
