Offset is opening up for the first time since he was shot in Florida a few months ago.
As we’re sure you know, the Migos rapper was shot near a casino in Hollywood, Florida on April 6. He was rushed to the hospital, and was luckily able to make a full recovery without sustaining any life-threatening injuries. Such a scary situation! We’re glad he’s okay.
On Thursday, in his first interview since the shooting took place, Offset sat down on the Creators Inc. Podcast to talk about it. The interview was filmed less than a WEEK after he was shot — so he was still hooked up to IV’s and everything!
Host Andy Bachman asked how he even got there, to which the rapper replied:
“Gotta keep pushin’, like the Energizer Bunny, man. Keep this s**t pushing. We don’t got time to be slowing down.”

Of course, Offset quickly returned to the stage following the shooting — and this interview was filmed around the same timeframe. He explained to Andy that he flew on a private jet and was laying down for most of the flight, so that’s how he made the trip.
When the host asked Offset how he was able to perform so quickly after his injury, he proudly stated:
“The show don’t never stop at the end of the day. I was blessed enough to be able to still move, you know what I mean? So I’m still moving. I’m pushing at the end of the day.”
What a positive mindset! He continued, explaining how “blessed” he felt because not everyone gets to walk away from things like that:
“The grind don’t stop, bro. I ain’t want nobody to feel sorry for me or no s**t like that. People get shot every day, bro. Like, I’m blessed. I can keep pushing, so why would I just sit down?”
No doubt! We just hope he’s being careful. Cuz while the show may not stop, our bodies eventually will if we don’t treat them well! And we want Offset living a long, happy life for his kids!
