Oh, no!!! Offset was shot!
Cardi B‘s ex was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday night, police confirmed in a statement to TMZ:
“We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
Phew. We’re so glad to hear they were “non-life-threatening injuries.” How freaking scary, especially since his former bandmate Takeoff was killed in a shooting in Texas back in 2022.

The police department went on:
“Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”
A rep for the 34-year-old also told TMZ on Monday night that he was receiving medical care at a hospital, where he was thankfully listed in stable condition. The rep insisted he was “fine” and being monitored closely.
It remains unclear exactly what happened, but it seems like there was a lot going on throughout the night! The Seminole Police Department told TMZ that rapper Lil Tjay — who has a history of beefing with Offset — was involved in a fight prior to the shooting, and he was arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray! The 24-year-old posed for a mug shot and was booked into Broward County Jail with a $500 bond.

However, his lawyer, Dawn M. Florio, was quick to defend him on Instagram, arguing Tjay’s arrest had nothing to do with Offset’s shooting:
“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which [resulted] in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos.”
The attorney continued:
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
We’ll have to wait for more information from police. In the meantime, we’re wishing Offset a full and speedy recovery!
