In one corner, Carly Rae Jepsen and Justin Bieber… in the other, One Direction??
It seems like Mz. Jepsen and the Biebs have gotten themselves caught up in a songwriting war!
While we previously let you listen to a snippet of the duet the two Canadian crooners recorded together, it sounds like it’s gotten 1D fans ALL riled up!
Though neither songs’ lyrics are anything extraordinary, they DO both have a common theme and similar lines!
Take a look at Carly Rae and Justin’s track, Beautiful:
What makes you so beautiful├»┬╗┬┐ is that you don’t know how beautiful you are to me
You’re not trying to be perfect, nobody’s perfect, but you are to me
You try to take my breath away feel the words that I don’t say
Then, there’s 1D’s What Makes You Beautiful:
You don’t know you’re beautiful,
If only you saw what I can see,
You’ll understand why I want you so desperately,
Right now I’m looking at you and I can’t believe,
You don’t know,
Oh oh,
You don’t know you’re beautiful,
Oh oh,
That’s what makes you beautiful
Hmm…is there a case here? Or do they BOTH sound like other pop songs that have come before them??
Both Carly Rae AND One Direction are up for Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs tonight… adding more fuel to the musical feud!
Guess we’ll just have to see how this one pans out!
