Let The Talk blow ya mind with its new cohost!
Months after Aisha Tyler announced she would be leaving the CBS daytime talk show to focus on other projects, it’s been revealed that Eve will step into the role as a permanent panelist.
The rapper and actress was one of the many guest hosts during the show’s current eighth season, and, according to insiders, was among the “hundreds of names” considered to round out the cast.

It was after the R&B star cohosted for a week and impressed viewers, the network, and the cast that execs knew she was the right fit for the vacant seat.
CBS exec Angelica McDaniel said the songstress “brings a fresh perspective and bold point of view” to the panel that also includes Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood.
Needless to say, the Tambourine singer is just as excited to start gabbing. She told Variety:

“It is a new career move for me. I am interested in hosting, and specifically on this show, because I feel as though I can express myself in a way people haven’t seen me before, and be able to engage in great discussions [and] have some fun. I’m just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself.”

She certainly came to the right place to do that!

Both nervous and excited to start her new gig, Eve says she’s already received great advice from the cast — especially Underwood — and teases she’ll be “a pretty open book” with her own experiences and opinions in upcoming episodes.
But don’t think this will distract the multi-hyphenate from her other obligations! Eve confirmed she would also be making time for acting and recording music, adding:

“I’ve already started recording. I started recording a few months ago. And the plan was, before this opportunity came up, was to put out some music, which I still plan to do soon.”

Keep filling that plate, girl!
As for Eve’s predecessor, Tyler is expected to return to The Talk from time to time as a guest host when her schedule permits.
Do YOU think Eve was the right choice to round out the panel?
